Clearly not much of a blogger. . .

No entries for a month! Disgraceful. . . .

The picture to the left is Sebastian, my wonderful 4-year-old Golden Retriever. He looks much more serious in the photo than he normally does in real life. His main goal in life seems to be to bring happiness to everyone he meets.

Since my last entry quite a bit has happened. SL & I both recovered from all our illnesses; between the two of us, we spent about 3 weeks sick in January!

SL's parents have returned to their home state after a 3-month visit here. We had mixed feelings about their leaving; 3 months is a long time. Sebastian misses them.

SL & I celebrated the one-year anniversary of our first date 2 days after Valentine's Day. In addition to the bear, candy, & book that SL bought me for V.D., he bought me a lovely pair of pearl earrings for our anniversary and took me to dinner at The Melting Pot. Awwww. . . .

We have been living together for a little over 4 months (most of which time his parents have been living in the same complex). On the whole, I'd say it's going pretty well. He has a few habits that annoy me, as I'm sure any man would--and I'm sure I do things that annoy him, though he is far more tolerant than I--but I'd say his positives definitely outweigh the negatives. I think I'm gonna keep him. :)

I am totally "off the wagon" with my Weight Watchers and exercise. I've only exercised twice in the past month (much to Sebastian's chagrin) and have been eating pretty much whatever I want. If anyone finds my lost motivation, please send it back. Thanks.

On a positive note, I tried my first felony jury trial this week and got guilty verdicts. I got some great feedback from my jurors after the case, too. All in all, the trial was a wholly positive experience, and not just because I got a conviction.

I am going to try to be a little more faithful about blogging. A friend from work is on a round-the-world trip and blogs regularly. Granted, his experiences are a lot more interesting. It's still great to get your thoughts down in writing.
